I like to describe my work as simple beauty portraits. I like a cleaner image, but with a little story and emotion involved, or even lack of emotion.
Your images feel very natural, but at the same time, they look very clean. How would you describe your work?
I like to describe my work as simple beauty portraits, I like a cleaner image, but with a little story and emotion involved, or even lack of emotion. But simplicity is key, I never have crazy makeup or even crazy styling, I like the image to be honest as possible and portray the personality of the model whether it’s more fun or sexy.
Los Angeles seems to be the dream place for photographers. Your favorite thing about it?
My favorite thing about LA is the light, it’s always a great time to shoot. And of course our great weather!
You worked with some awesome models. Is there anyone you´d love to shoot?
I think I would love to shoot Coco Rocha one day, she’s always been a favorite model of mine with her personality. But in general a favorite model isn’t as important as someone with a great personality.
How would you describe your current life? What does freedom mean to you?
I would describe my current life as a constant battle for attention, to have my work seen by all while making sure the bills get paid. There are a lot of great photographers and you have to really strive to make sure you get seen and have your work stand out.
Freedom for me means: to shoot whenever I want without having to worry about money, ha-ha.
Where do you see yourself in the future?
I’d like to see myself shooting a big campaign somewhere on an exotic island. I would love to do a story for Playboy actually.
