Photography isn’t easy and I think that’s why I love it. It’s a constant challenge within myself and there is always room to grow. There is never an end to how good you can get, and every time I shoot, it’s another opportunity to get better.
when did you start taking pictures?
I got my first camera when I was 16 years old, and to me, it was like falling in love. I brought it around with me everywhere, I would take photos of everything from a cup on a table to photographing my friends. It was like we were inseparable.
how would you describe your work?
I would describe my work to have a versatile style, but will always have a clarity to them, with a modern twist. Lately, the Rock N’ Roll style clothing and photographs is something I’ve been getting inspired by.
When you are not photographing amazing models, what do you enjoy doing?
When I’m not photographing, I love to go out and explore. I love finding new locations to shoot at or just be outside in nature. We are so used to being on our phones, and attached to technology that it’s nice to be outside, smell the fresh air and enjoy the moment.
What do you find most enjoyable in photography?
What I love about fashion photography is the process from beginning to end. First, producing of the shoot, putting the team together and finding the right models and location. Then, getting on set “playing dress up” and making the idea come together the moment I start shooting. Once I start photographing I always get excited to capture my vision and be able to run around with my camera, getting those great shots. Finally, the editing process, where you get to finalize your photos to make it the best it can be so it’s ready to be released. Photography isn’t easy and I think that’s why I love it. It’s a constant challenge within myself and there is always room to grow. There is never an end to how good you can get, and every time I shoot, it’s another opportunity to get better.
Your favorite place to shoot?
I wouldn’t really say I have one favorite place to shoot, because every location is different and I can create a vision for a shoot almost anywhere I go. However, I do love photographing outdoors the most, in nature, where the sun is my main source of light.
Your happiest moment in life?
My happiest moment in life is last year when I got to travel to Hawaii to do a shoot out there. This was the first time I ever left LA by myself and got to travel while doing what I love.
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years I see myself traveling all over the world photographing for high end designers and shooting top models. I would also love to own several studios in all the major cities in the U.S. and rent it out to photographers and film makers.
