In front of a piece of art, you cannot normally stay indifferent/insensitive: you like it or you dislike it.

Hello Ophélie, where are you based right now? Is there any place you would like to live in the future?
I’ve been living in Paris for 5 years now, but I came from North of France. I love to travel and I would really enjoy living abroad: wherever in the world, as far as it is a big city with good vibes (I’m a huge fan of New York, London and Berlin for example).

When did you decide you wanted to pursue modeling?
I started 3 years ago: a model friend introduced me to this world of photography and I became quickly addicted to it! Photoshooting is the way for me, to express myself through all the aspects of my personality: in my day to day life, I cannot always show all of those. Modeling is a real passion now!

What does art mean for you?
Art is very subjective. For me, it’s a way for the artists to express themselves, and for the viewers to feel and maybe share these ideas, the mood and the deepest feelings of the artists. In front of a piece of art, you cannot normally stay indifferent/insensitive: you like it or you dislike it.

What influences your work?
I’m like an actor when I’m in front of the camera. In general, when I need to express a specific emotion, I’m referring to my past experiences or I’m trying to imagine a context that can lead me to the emotion wanted.

What do you like to do when you’re not modeling?
I’m travelling far away as much as I can: for example, this year I’ve planned on going in Egypt and Brasil. I love to discover new cultures and landscapes, meet people from other countries and share with them.
I like to visit some modern art museums or photography exhibitions during the weekends, after a nice brunch for example!
I’m also very keen on dancing on every music: salsa, electro, R&B,… Turn the music on and I’m ready to party!
And to complete the picture I enjoy discovering new restaurants in Paris, with my friends.

Good advice for models out there?
Express yourself, don’t be only pretty!!

Any exciting projects on the horizon?
Nothing “big” for the moment, but you never know what the future has in store for us.
For instance, I just had the chance to be selected for a hairshow with a catwalk for Toni and Guy and it was a nice and funny experience !

Where do you see yourself in the future?
Going on with balancing work, passion and private life.

Is there anything else you think I need to know?
Modeling is a passion for me, it’s not my job. It’s adding fun in my life, it allows me to be more creative and furthermore to meet great people that I would never have the chance to meet otherwise. It’s a very enriching experience!
